San Jose will execute all metro stations for the Metro Line No 1 of Navi Mombai in Bombay

Constructora San Jose has been awarded the execution of all metro stations for the Metro Line No 1 of  Navi Mumbai in Bombay. As a result, the Consortium leadered by San Jose will be responsable for the design and execution of a total of 11 stations for the new Metro Line No 1 of Navi Mumbai. Awarding Budget amounts to EUR 47 million.  

The implementing agency is CIDCO (City & Industrial Development Corporation of Maharastra), an entity dependent on the Government of the State of Maharastra.

The project involves the design and execution of 10 model stations and a terminal station at the beginning of the line. Model stations are 140 m long and 21 m wide. Terminal station of Belapur is 170 m long and 35 m wide and is connnected to the train station.

All stations are elevated and constructed on two levels, hall on the first floor and platform on the second floor. Further, the project includes the design and execution of the rail corridor thereof.

The works are located in Navi Mumbai, a new municipality in the State of Maharashtra with a total population over 2 million inhabitants and located within the metropolitan area of Bombay.

Bombay is the largest city in India and one of the top largest cities of the world. The State of Maharashtra has more than 100 million inhabitants and hosts financial centres and the headquarters of major business groups of the country.
