The infrastructures company Sanjose, leader of a consortium of companies, revealed yesterday the enigma in the composition of its JV that presented the tender for the concession of the Spanish airport of Madrid Barajas. The company, presided by Jacinto Rey, with a large experience in the construction and renovation of airports in the US, Spain and Panama, controls 40% of the Equity. Global Mirobriga, controlled in 100% by Advent International, has exactly the same participation. The Private Equity firm holds total investments of more than 16.000 million in 35 countries and is the major shareholder of Latinoamericana de Aeropuertos y Aeropuertos Dominicanos. Trough these companies it manages 16 million passengers per year in various airports such as the Mexico International Aiport.

The third members of the Sanjose team is Cedicor. As Cinco Dias explained, it is the owner of Corporacion America, this institutions controls more than 40 airports in South America. Ezeiza, Aeroparque, and the Ecuadorian airport of Guayaquil compose its main references.

The three allies emphasized yesterday that they own more than 19.000 million Euros of asset, against the 3.000 required by AENA to participate in the tender. As far as the traffic and intensity of passengers are concerned the number is 45 million, almost twice as much as the 25 that AENA established as barriers to entry for the Madrid-Barajsa and the Barcelona-El Prat airports.
