SANJOSE will Build the New Loewe Center of Excellence in Getafe, Madrid

Manufacturas Loewe has awarded SANJOSE Constructora the execution works—developed under BIM methodology—of the new Loewe Center of Excellence in Getafe, Madrid. This new and modern complex, with a total area of 49,972 square meters (23,207 m² of built space and 26,765 m² of landscaped and urbanized area), is designed to meet Loewe’s needs for growth, research, production, and the development of its leather goods.

This sustainable project, which will feature LEED and WELL Platinum certifications, is predominantly developed on a single floor (92%) and achieves both fluidity and strong visual appeal through a volumetric design based on parallel vaults that adjust in width and height according to program needs. These vaults rest on pairs of intersecting arches, upon which the “skins” are placed to shape the curved roofs.

The project also includes a large plaza on the eastern side that organizes the social and more public areas of the complex: archive/museum, multipurpose room/internal showroom, dining area, gym, and more.
