SANJOSE will Build the Block H Building of the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the Burjassot–Paterna Campus of the University of Valencia

The Universitat de València has awarded SANJOSE Constructora, in a joint venture with CHM Obras e Infraestructuras, the execution works of Block H of the Faculty of Biological Sciences at its Burjassot–Paterna Campus. This project, part of the university’s infrastructure development plan, represents the first major milestone in the expansion and modernization of the Faculty in the past 46 years.

The new 18,000-square-metre building will house a wide range of facilities and modern amenities, including classrooms, laboratories, offices, storage areas, collection rooms, rock workshop spaces, and insect and aquatic animal chambers, among others.

The new structure, consisting of six above-ground floors and two basement levels, will occupy nearly the entire available plot and will be located opposite Block B of the existing Faculty. The design organizes the required spaces and their modular layout parallel to the main façade, distributed across three structural bays: the first two, from the northeast to the southwest façades, measuring 8.22 m and 8.27 m deep, and the third, which opens to the southwest façade, measuring 10.37 m.
