GEMSWELL SURF MADRID (ESPANHA)

The surf lagoon, which will be the largest in Europe, will have a surface area of 23,000 m² and a maximum depth of 2.85 meters. Visitors will be able to enjoy more than 20 types of waves up to two meters high, with up to 120 people surfing in 60-minute sessions.

Gemswell Surf Madrid will also feature a 700 m² skate park to perfect surf techniques and other related activities. The facilities will include five food service points, amounting to approximately 3,000 m² dedicated to gastronomy, with beachfront terraces. Each restaurant will offer a concept aimed at different audiences and inspired by iconic surf destinations.

Regarding sustainability, Gemswell will integrate different strategies to minimize environmental impact through sustainability solutions that range from space design to operational aspects. The park is designed under the requirements of BREEAM Very Good, an international environmental sustainability certification, thus prioritizing the reduction of the environmental footprint throughout the complex’s life cycle. In addition, it includes renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, and an architectural design that optimizes natural light, minimizing electricity consumption. Water management is also a fundamental pillar: it features solutions such as rainwater reuse and efficient irrigation systems.
