The Government of the Republic of Chile, determined to improve the infrastructure of the hospital care network, has awarded the SANJOSE GROUP (SANJOSE Construction and Tecnocontrol) through tender, the design, construction and management of two new hospitals in Santiago, Chile.
- Hospital de Maipú. This new 70.000m² hospital will be located in the area of Maipú and will be specially geared to the welfare needs of the areas of Maipú and Cerrillos, which extend 159 square kilometres and have a combined population of 698,518 (equivalent to 10.6% of the total population for the region). After its completion, these communes will have 375 more hospital beds.
- Hospital de La Florida. With a built area of 72.000m² and 391 beds, it will relieve the congestion in the South East Network. The hospital will be located in La Florida and which is particularly intended to satisfy the welfare needs of this commune, with an area of 71m² and a population of 394,821 inhabitants, equivalent to 6.03% of the total population in the region.
